Who controls your data

Sociovio is operated by Syntexco Business Consultancy Private Limited, a company based in India. Syntexco is the data controller for all personal data processed through Sociovio — we decide why and how this data is processed, including data received from Meta Platforms (WhatsApp and Instagram).

What we collect

When a business uses Sociovio to automate their WhatsApp or Instagram account, we process:

• WhatsApp: phone numbers, contact names, message content, and delivery status for conversations through the connected WhatsApp Business number.
• Instagram: the Instagram-scoped user ID and username of people who message or comment on the connected Instagram professional account, plus the content of those messages and comments.
• Account data: the email and name of the business owner using Sociovio, and Meta API tokens needed to operate the connected account on their behalf.

How we use it

Data is used only to operate the automation a business has configured — routing and replying to messages and comments, running booking flows, and showing the business owner their own conversation history inside Sociovio. We do not use this data for advertising, and we do not sell it to third parties.

Who else processes it

We use a small number of infrastructure providers to run Sociovio. They process data only on our instructions, to provide their service to us:

• Neon — our database host (PostgreSQL), stores all application and conversation data.
• Amazon Web Services (AWS) — backend hosting and infrastructure.

Access tokens issued by Meta are encrypted at rest and are never shared with these providers in plaintext or with any other third party.

Government and legal requests

We have not disclosed any user's personal data to a public authority in response to a national security request. If we are ever legally required to disclose data, we review the legality of the request first and disclose the minimum information necessary to comply.

Data retention & deletion

We retain conversation data for as long as a business keeps its WhatsApp or Instagram account connected to Sociovio, so the automation has the context it needs to function. You can request deletion of your data at any time — see our Data Deletion page for instructions.
